How the season is planned

Blocks, not reactions.

Rather than deciding what to coach the morning of a session — based on how the last match went, or the weather — we plan in 6–8 week blocks. Each block has a theme, a clear skill progression, and every session is published before the block starts. That's what lets skills actually stick.

Provisional: winter block

Theme and dates to follow once Block 2 review is complete.

What every block includes

  • A clear theme and 6–8 week skill progression, aligned to Scottish Rugby's Age Grade Law Variations for U10 and U12.
  • Every session built for our 2-coach U10 & U12 breakout groups, with explicit coach roles.
  • Full equipment lists, so nothing is a surprise on a Thursday evening.
  • A finishing game or festival simulation, so the block always ends on something fun and visible.
